Meet Dewayne Baines
Hi My name is Dewayne Baines, I was born and raised in Gainesville FL, Alachua county. I’m a God fearing man, I’m a father, I’m a coach, I’m a Social Worker, I’m a community advocate. I graduated from Santa Fe college with a AA in sociology, Bachelor degree in social Work from Saint Leo University and a Master degree from University of Louisville I have serve as a youth basketball coach for 4 years, I serve on the Alachua county commission Land Conservation board for 3 year and I also serve on the Alachua county rural concerned citizens board for 3 years. I have advocated on a individual Level to address local, social, and economic issues through volunteering, advocacy, and community development.

Mentor
As a mentor I try to lead by example. Being a trusted advisor to our youth, teaching life experienced, who provides guidance, encouragement, and support to foster a mentee's professional or personal growth.
Advocate
As a advocator, a person who actively supports, defends, or argues in favor of a Community causes, policy, or person, often serving as a champion or proponent.
Coach
As a Coaches I utilize my skills as mentors, helping others reach their full potential, whether it's athletics on the field, in the Class room or professional in business.
Father
As a Father I work hard to show my child and every child I come in contact with love, compassion and the way they should go in this world. I'm a protector and I work hard to help my family and the community. I have always tried to set a good example and makes sure my family doesn't go without.
